The Fowey Christmas Market has rapidly become acknowledged as the premier event of its kind in the area. People frequently comment on how incrediby attractive a place Fowey is to spend a holiday, so any excuse to return is readily accepted. The Christmas Market provides the ideal opportunity to return to the place that so many people love, and what better place can you imagine in which to do all your Christmas shopping? Bookings are coming in from traders throughout the South West. If you would like an opportunity to be considered for this prestigious maket, please get in touch as soon as possible.
We are determined to ensure that we offer the very best of choice and quality. Accommodation is certain to become scarce, so visitors are advised to arrange for your hotel, guest house or self-catering accommodation as soon as possible. Even places such as Polperro get filled up for the Fowey Christmas Market, so don't leave things too late.
Due to the growth of the market, and because the weather can always have an effect on the siting of the market when it was staged on Town Quay, we have made the decison to run the event at the Fowey Community College sports hall, where the venue proved to be such a success with traders and visitors in 2009. The Fowey Chamber of Commerce are planning to organise events in and around the town of Fowey, so they will soon be announcing their plans. Unfortunately, the Chamber has appointed another event organiser to run an event on Town Quay, as it is their wish to have the market return to Town Quay. We reached the conclusion that this is too risky an option, as the weather can often be severe at that time of year, and cancellation is not an option for our traders. WE WILL THEREFORE BE RUNNING THE FOWEY CHRISTMAS MARKET AS PER 2009 AT THE FOWEY LEISURE CENTRE
